So it's 2023 and Happy New Year to anyone who happens to be reading this.
The first trading week of the year is over, the smoke has cleared and the dust settled and.......I'm down. Not much, £5.80 (12 points), but it is definitely not what I expected. The sad part is I was up around 20 points before Friday, where it took a bit of hit. However, this week has been successful, if not financially because my discipline, my control, my composure and focus, my holding of trades, they have all improved considerably. In fact I held a trade for over half an hour before it stopped me out (I had moved my stop lower by 10 points as it was 16 points in profit at one stage). Although I didn't make money this week, I did make and reinforce, my new neural pathways which I firmly believe are much more important, especially in the long term, for improving and developing my trading. So when all this is considered, I am actually very happy and a little proud of myself for this week, simply, because of that.
