Another losing week albeit not a bad one. It equates to 24 points, but, that's not the point. When I first started trading I had the dream of doubling my account every 10 weeks. This equates to 20 points a day. Even now when I say that, it seems so easy. 20 points a day. The reality though is very different.
I keep a daily diary both physical, in the form of a written trade log, and also digital, in the form an Excel spreadsheet of all my trades, and I asses them versus my strategy. This is not only to ensure I am adhering to my strategy, but also to track my progress (or lack of, especially over these last few weeks). I recently went back over the year so far, and let's just say, it was less than ideal.
But, I am not disheartened nor deterred. I am still here, I am still trading, I am still learning and I am still confident that one day I will be trading professionally and I will be living the life I desire as a result of my trading success.
I just know that now it will take a lot more time than I had imagined. But that's okay, because with trading, as with many things we experience, patience is the key.
Patience is what wins in trading. Patience is what wins in life.
